Since 2005, Mac & Co. Environmental has been helping businesses and municipalities improve environmental performance through innovative biological treatment programs.

Founded by co-owners Janice and Len MacKenzie, the company is built on green initiatives that focus on reducing the impact of fats, oils and grease (FOG) on wastewater systems. Their environmentally-friendly microbial treatments use beneficial bacteria to break down pollutants before they enter municipal sewer lines, helping to improve wastewater quality and reduce costly infrastructure issues.

Mac & Co. works with a diverse range of clients, including major food service chains, colleges, hotels, municipalities and long-term care facilities. Their programs support grease traps, pumping stations and municipal wastewater systems by naturally reducing FOG buildup, preventing blockages and improving the efficiency of collection systems. By using biological treatments rather than harsh chemicals, they help clients meet environmental goals while protecting infrastructure and reducing maintenance costs.

Over the years, the company has expanded its offerings beyond wastewater solutions to become a full-service supplier of facility products. Today, Mac & Co. provides everything from paper products and professional cleaning supplies to degreasers, odour-control solutions and janitorial programs. With virtually all of their products made in Canada, the company remains committed to delivering practical, environmentally responsible solutions that help facilities operate safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Mac & Co. Environmental is located at 7 Snow Road in Napanee, next to Service Ontario. Find out more... https://naturallyla.ca/local/business_listings/mac-co-environmental/

If you're in the Stone Mills area on Saturday, June 6th, expect to see a few bicycles on the road. Well, more than a few... over 400!

The Naturally L&A Gravel Ride annually attracts riders from across Ontario and beyond. The event begins in Centreville at 10am and cyclists will be touring the scenic back roads in and around Croydon, Tamworth and Enterprise before returning to Centreville. Along the 53km route they'll be making several stops to sample delicious treats prepared by local businesses.

Not only is this event a wonderful showcase of our amazing backroad cycling opportunities, it also highlights and supports many local businesses, musicians and organizations in the area. In addition, many out-of-town cyclists spend the weekend here in L&A, supporting local lodging providers, restaurants and retailers in our county.

The ride also encourages participants to make repeat visits here throughout the riding season to explore more cycling opportunities that are available. Long story short, Naturally L&A Gravel Ride is a significant economic driver for Lennox & Addington communities.
