I just need to get through the next couple of weeks then I'll be fine.
How many of you are saying that right now?
If you are using the holidays to recharge rather than celebrate then you may have a work culture issue, not just a depleted energy one.
The scarier thought is, how many years have you been saying this? Has it gotten any better in your work culture?
Sadly, most of the people I know are not a part of a healthy work culture. I know this because everyone is always so drained, lacking energy, motivation, and dread going back to work on Monday or after the holidays.
Are you saying, "ya, but this is just how it is."
It's not.
A healthy organization doesn't leave people drained in the first place.
A healthy organization inspires, encourages, and brings forth the best in its employees.
A healthy organization supports its employees especially if opportunities arise for them to better themselves, inside that organization or not.
Emotional intelligence plays a huge role in the health of an organization.
