Fire Department Members:
We have 24 members consisting of 3 Chief Officers, 2 Captains, 2 Lieutenants, 1 Safety Officer and 16 Firefighters. Our Dept was established in 1942 during world war 2, the Dept was formed by a group of men who during the war were designated to insure all the homes in the area were blacked out after dark to keep from being spotted by aircraft and bombers. So that same group formed the fire dept at the same time.

For some time now a group of ladies from the community who love to sew have called our meeting room home one day a month. They truly take over with their machines, equipment and fill the building with laughter and joy. Our members especially know when they’ll be around and usually have a project or repair for them, which they jump on every time without question.

This past Sunday they requested our attendance at the Station for a special surprise presentation and delicious meal for the members who could attend. We were all taken back by the beautiful wall hanging quilt we were presented hand made in part by each member of the group.

We were so grateful for this beautiful dedication our members demanded it be hung before they left that evening. Thank you so much to “The Sewing Sisters” we are forever grateful to have people like you all in our community and we hope to be your home for years to come!

The time has come for another epic Canada Day Celebration at the New Victoria Fire Hall! 🍁🇨🇦

When we held this event two years ago, the community showed incredible support, and we were so proud to see so many families, friends, and neighbours come together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you again in 2026!

Join us as we celebrate 159 years of Canada with a day filled with live music by Rob Murphy, a delicious BBQ, face painting, a bouncy castle, a raffle, a historical display from the Low Point Lighthouse Society, and more! ☀️

Wow Six years since our department faced one of the most technical rescues a firefighter could face, with some quick thinking and amazing teamwork we were able to have the patient safely extricated and has since came back to see and thank us after his recovery.
