One of the 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 released by BC PNP yesterday is the publication of a list of occupations that will 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 under the 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦.

📌Have a full-time, regular (indeterminate) job offer from a B.C. health authority
📌Be a direct employee of a B.C. health authority (not a contractor or service provider)
📌Have employer support, meaning the health authority must agree to support your BC PNP application and only authorized individuals can sign the Employer Declaration Form
📌Work in an eligible rural/remote location in B.C. with the same health authority
📌Have at least 9 consecutive months of full-time, year-round employment with the same employer immediately before registration
🔹Note: certain breaks may be treated differently (e.g. short vacation may count, but longer unpaid leave may not), but you must still meet the 9-month requirement
📌Be working full-time at the time of registration and application
📌Maintain continuous full-time employment with the same employer and in the same occupation throughout the BC PNP process
📌Demonstrate meeting the minimum income requirement for the full 9-month period prior to registration/application
📌Have completed at least secondary education (high school or equivalent, inside or outside Canada)
📌Employer must meet BC PNP employer requirements

⚠️ Important: Express Entry BC (EEBC) is NOT available under this initiative.

Here are the key updates:

✅ New 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 now in effect
✅ Includes details on the 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 announced on April 23, 2026

🚨 BC PNP UPDATE | New Limited-Time Initiative Announced 🚨

On April 23, 2026, alongside several major BC PNP updates, British Columbia announced a new temporary time-limited initiative aimed at retaining up to 250 workers already employed in rural or remote communities. 🇨🇦

The initiative is intended for individuals working for a health authority in:

🧹 Cleaning roles
🛡️ Security roles

According to the announcement, registrations are expected to open in June 2026 through the BC PNP Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

📌 Important to know:

At this time, detailed program guidelines and eligibility requirements have NOT yet been released. More information is expected before intake opens.

However, for workers who may qualify, this is a great time to start preparing important documents such as:

✅ Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
✅ Language test results (IELTS/CELPIP)
✅ Employment letters and proof of work experience
✅ Police clearance certificates (if applicable)
✅ Valid immigration documents and IDs

Preparing early can help avoid delays once the program officially opens.
