Urban Impact Recycling Ltd Urban Impact helps customers with waste, recycling, shredding, product destruction, and audit needs. We service most key industrial and commercial sectors.

Urban Impact was launched as the first multi-material recycling company in Metro Vancouver. For more than 30 years, Urban Impact has been helping businesses handle their evolving recycling requirements. From a single pick-up to an enterprise-wide recycling strategy it’s what we love to do. We pride ourselves in putting the customer at the center of everything we do. We believe that changing the way we deal with waste is a necessity. We are also dedicated to minimizing waste in the landfills and protecting our environment. We were founded on the premise that there was a need for a different kind of recycling company… a recycling company that sets new standards of personal service, cost containment, and customized recycling programs. We strongly value customer service and act on that value by making recycling at work really work. Our recycling process begins with partnering with our customers for the long term. Today, a team of over 215 employees and a fleet of over 53 recycling trucks provide a comprehensive range of recycling, secure shredding, and waste audit services. Urban Impact services 7,500 locations, from Whistler to Chilliwack.

When Shred Day brings a community together ❤️

At Urban Impact, we believe being part of a community means more than simply doing business there.

Our Community Shredding Events help local organizations raise funds while giving businesses, organizations and people in the community a secure and convenient way to dispose of confidential documents.

In 2025, our Community Shredding Events raised $34,160 for local organizations and safely shredded 30,590 kg of paper.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

🎥 In our new video, we sit down with Communitas Supportive Care Society to hear what these events mean to their organization and the people they support. Our CEO, Nicole Stefenelli, also shares why these events are such a meaningful part of Urban Impact’s work in the communities we serve.

We’re grateful to the organizations, volunteers and community members who make these events possible.

A simple shred can make a meaningful difference.

🔒 Secure your documents.
🤝 Support your community.
♻️ Shred for a good cause.

When Shred Day brings a community together ❤️

At Urban Impact, we’re committed to serving the communities where we work. It’s a privilege to serve our customers — and supporting the communities around us is an important part of who we are.

Our Community Shredding Events are one of the ways we give back, helping local charities raise funds for causes that matter while giving people in the community a secure and convenient way to dispose of confidential documents.

That box of documents sitting in your filing cabinet can do more than make space. It can help raise funds for a great cause and make a meaningful difference in the community.

In 2025, our Community Shredding Events raised $35,000 for local organizations and safely shredded 30,590 kg of paper.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

🎥 In our new video, we were excited to sit down with Communitas Supportive Care to hear what these events mean to their organization and the people they support.

Our CEO, Nicole Stefenelli, also shares why Community Shredding Events are such a meaningful part of Urban Impact’s work in the communities we serve.

We’re grateful to everyone who takes part and helps make these events possible. ❤️

🔒 Shred securely.
🤝 Support a local organization.
❤️ Make a difference in your community.

🎥 A LITTLE VIDEO DAY FUN! 💜

We spent the morning at Communitas Supportive Care filming a video about something we’re pretty proud of — Urban Impact’s support of Communitas Shred Day! 🎥💜

And of course, no visit to Communitas is complete without a stop at Little Sprout Café. ☕️🌱 We enjoyed a beautiful, verybeautifully decorated café latte while catching up with the amazing team there. 💜
