Did you know coffee has its own soundtrack? ☕️🎶

As coffee beans roast, they produce audible popping sounds known as “first crack” and “second crack.” The first crack can sound a little like popcorn, while the second is faster and more delicate.

Experienced roasters listen carefully because those sounds help reveal how the roast is developing.

Great coffee doesn’t just smell and taste incredible. It sounds pretty good, too.
