What a wonderful performance of “Anne: Older and Wiser” at the Fort Erie Library! This one-woman show performed by my Maja Bannerman with music accompaniment by Rusty Mccarthy Rusty Mccarthy tells the story of Anne Shirley (of “Anne of Green Gables”) reflecting back on her life and narrating stories of her past. I LOVED these stories as a kid so it definitely brought back some wonderful memories for me!

If you don’t already, give Maja a follow and check out her music. She is her own unique vibe and whether it’s spoken word or music, it’s always a treat to watch her perform.

Rusty will be performing with Brandon Agnew and the Night Shadows at my event, A Local Shindig: featuring Road Waves & Friends next Saturday June 20th at Camp Cataract! Come out and support local music!

Our community partners Adam C from Hidden Jackpots and David Green were at Niagara Falls Comic Con this weekend, covering one of the region's biggest annual events!

The duo explored the convention floor, interviewed celebrity guests Jason Hervey (*The Wonder Years*) and Daniel Kash (*Aliens*), checked out some incredible cosplay, and connected with vendors and fans from across the region.

They also met up with Toronto YouTuber Scott on Tape, who was making his first visit to Niagara Falls Comic Con.

What an amazing night hanging at Taps Brewhouse with this stellar group of humans! These are the folks who will be performing at A Local Shindig: featuring Road Waves & Friends : — host Rob Burke , opening act Rita Visser .and.the.daydreamers followed by and the Night Shadows and our headliner, the one & only , frontman of my favourite band, Niagara’s own Road Waves!!

If our vibe tonight is any indication of what The Shindig will be like, holy cannoli folks, are you in for a treat! We’re bringing ALL our collective good energy to Camp Cataract on SATURDAY JUNE 20TH, we start at 7/7:30pm. No cover, but bring a monetary or clothing donation for Niagara's Mobile Closet — or Every Mothers Village. Would highly recommend getting your free ticket on Eventbrite as there will be limited capacity. I’ll put the link in our bio.

As an added bonus, I ran into my pals David Green and Levi Mann since it was comedy night at Taps. And I finally met Christian from ! It felt SO GOOD to reconnect with some of my favourite people tonight and be reminded of why Niagara Falls will always be the place I call home. Thanks Shindig crew, for embracing an outsider like me as one of your own. I love and appreciate you all so much.🫶

This weekend we went to check out the Folk Arts Festival at Club Italia🇮🇹. This celebration of Italian culture included a live DJ, dancers, games and of course delicious Italian food! 🍕🍝

We spoke with club member Anthony Stracuzzi about his documentary Lucky’s Lens and the upcoming events at Club Italia including the FESTA ITALIA Sunday July 12th. You can also participate in the Italian flag raising ceremony at Niagara Falls City Hall on Friday, June 5th. 🇮🇹

PS: Did you know the Club Italia lounge is open weeknights for supper? Enjoy homemade Italian food 5 nights a week from 5-8pm! 🍽️
