It is always rewarding watching the vineyard transition into its final stages before harvest. Down our estate Cabernet Franc rows, the vines are lush, the roses at the end of the posts are in full bloom, and the clusters are heavy, deep green, and utilizing every bit of warm Niagara sunshine as they prepare for their final stages of growth.
The warm days and cool summer nights here in our Four Mile Creek sub-appellation give these grapes the time they need to build rich concentration, balanced acidity, and those signature red fruit and spice nuances that make Niagara Cabernet Franc renowned.
While this year’s fruit takes its time on the vine, we’re savouring our 2022 vintage here in the tasting room. This Cabernet Franc recently brought home Double Gold at the All Canadian Wine Championship, and is now open and pouring! So whether you’re strolling through the vines or sipping from home, we’d love to share a glass of true Niagara Cabernet Franc with you while we watch the 2026 vintage come to life in the vines.🍷
