Our rosé begins with living soil, balanced vines, careful farming and dozens of decisions made throughout the growing season. Sustainability is not separate from wine quality, it is part of how we pursue it.

Our Rosé is made to be enjoyed generously. It is also grown with an eye toward the vintages still to come.

This is our fully electric Monarch tractor.

Choosing electric equipment helps us reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and lowers emissions while the vineyard work continues, from mowing and undervine care to the many passes required throughout the growing season.

Technology alone will not solve every challenge in agriculture. But thoughtful investments, made with the future in mind, can move us meaningfully forward.

Sustainability is not a single decision. It is a standard we commit to year after year.

Our vineyard is Certified Sustainable through Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario which is a program that considers the health of the land, the people who care for it and the long-term resilience of Ontario’s wine industry.

The work behind this sign reaches every part of the vineyard. Because growing the wines you love also means taking responsibility for where they begin.

A vineyard should support more than grapevines.

Plant diversity, including flowering plants like lavender, helps create habitat and food sources for pollinators and beneficial insects. Greater biodiversity contributes to a healthier, more balanced farm ecosystem, both between the rows and beyond them.

Sustainability means recognizing that a vineyard is never just a vineyard. It is part of something much larger.

Some news we’re incredibly proud to share: our 2024 Chardonnay has been awarded Gold at the 2026 National Wine Awards of Canada. 🥂

Selected from a field of 155 Canadian Chardonnays, it is one of just 22 wines to receive a Gold medal- meaningful recognition for this vintage and for the remarkable potential of the St. David’s Bench.

Grown here at Perenelle and made with care by Marty Werner, the 2024 Chardonnay reflects everything we value about this vineyard: generosity balanced by freshness, precision and a clear sense of place.

We’re deeply grateful to the WineAlign judges for this recognition, and to everyone who has supported our young winery. We can’t wait to share this bottle with you.

The next vintage is taking shape.

Tucked beneath the canopy, these young clusters are growing steadily on the St. David’s Bench. Over the coming weeks, the berries will soften, ripen and develop the character that will eventually find its way into the bottle.

There is still much of the season ahead, but for now, we’re grateful to watch the vineyard do what it does best.

A wonderful weekend celebrating Chardonnay, cool-climate winemaking and the community that brings it all together.

Thank you to the team behind i4C, the volunteers, our fellow producers and everyone who joined us for a glass. We were proud to pour Perenelle alongside so many talented winemakers from Niagara and beyond, and grateful to be part of an event that celebrates the people, places and wines that make this region so special.
