Nightingale was created as a wine of balance.

Our 2023 red blend brings together floral lift, red and dark fruit, fine tannin, and a cool mineral thread that keeps everything composed. It is layered without being loud, graceful without feeling fragile.

Named in honour of Florence Nightingale, it reflects the same idea that guides much of what we do here through care and discipline.

Available now in limited quantities.

June brings colour back to the vineyard in small, useful ways.

A flower in the row may seem like decorative details, but they are part of the vineyard’s rhythm. They remind us that wine is shaped by more than the grape alone. It is shaped by the life around it, the health of the soil, and the choices made throughout the growing season.

Few grapes speak as clearly about climate and place as Chardonnay.

This July, our 2023 Chardonnay joins producers and wine drinkers from near and far for the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration in Niagara, taking place July 16–19.

Grown on the St. David’s Bench, this vintage carries the freshness and restraint we value in cool-climate Chardonnay. Lemon oil and orchard fruit bring brightness, while a quiet almond note adds texture and depth.

We are pleased to have it included in a weekend devoted to the many expressions of this remarkably responsive grape, and especially pleased to welcome that conversation here in Niagara.

Some wines just seem to suit the whole evening.

The 2023 Nightingale has the structure to sit comfortably at the table, but it also has a softer, quieter side that makes you want to keep a little in your glass after dinner.

Floral and layered, with red and dark fruit, cool mineral notes, a touch of cedar, and a long, graceful finish.

A wine to share, linger over, and come back to.

This is where the vintage begins to show itself.

Bud break is one of the first visible signs of the growing season. After months of dormancy, the vine begins to push new growth, leaf by leaf, setting the foundation for everything that follows.

It is a small moment, but not a simple one.

From here, the season becomes a long conversation between weather, soil, farming, patience, and timing. Every bottle begins with this kind of attention: close to the vine, close to the land, and aware that nothing meaningful happens all at once.

Rosé has a way of making a table feel complete before anyone sits down.

Our 2024 Rosé is pale, bright, and quietly expressive, with white strawberry, hibiscus, white peach, grapefruit, and a delicate rhubarb note on the finish.

It is fresh without being simple. Pretty without being unserious. Made for food, flowers, long lunches, and those first true evenings of summer.

Available now.

June gives Chardonnay a different kind of setting.

Less formal. More open air. A blanket in the grass, flowers beside you, and a bottle that does not need to over-explain itself.

Our 2023 Chardonnay is restrained and textural, with lemon oil, orchard fruit, almond, and a quiet line of freshness that carries through the glass.

It is not built around excess. It is built around balance.

The vineyard has it's own markers. Posts, wires, rows, ties, trunks, early leaves. Nothing ornamental, but everything necessary.

These are the details that hold the season together. They guide the vine, support the fruit, and remind us that winemaking is as much about structure as it is about beauty.

There is always balance between the practical and the poetic, the farming and the feeling, the work and the wine.

After months of stillness, the vineyard begins again. Tiny green shoots push from the vine, carrying the first visible promise of the season ahead.

It is one of the most meaningful moments in the vineyard year because everything starts here. Every choice made from this point forward matters: how we tend the canopy, how we respond to the weather, how we protect the fruit, and how we honour what the land is ready to give.

A new growing season has begun at Perenelle.

And we are grateful to meet it.
