Two weeks ago we sold our Oakville home thanks to and that means that our future as farmstead owners is closer than ever! 👏

It’s officially official ⋒ This little family of 4 + 5 (since the animals are currently outnumbering us) are no longer going to be living the city life! Ahhh!

We are making our way out to horse country in Caledon, Ontario to start our journey into farmstead ownership! It’s seriously going to be a wild ride! 🙈

So, if you ask me it’s been a long time coming. I’ve had horses all my life and I always thought we would make our way into a slower pace of living. I mean, LOTS of work, but slower work 😬 I joke that it took Colin experiencing the lumberjack lifestyle of owning our cottage rental to be truly bought into my vision.

So I am SO excited for you to come along for the ride as we renovate our 5 bedroom farmhouse, plant our very first vegetable garden, create open pastures for the litany of animals that are making their way into our lives and create new & exciting businesses along the way. I’ll be sharing all the highs, lows, successes & inevitable failures on 🌱

It’s about to get crazy!!

I'm not sure who sold us on the notion that entrepreneurship is sweet, sweet freedom where we all hold hands and frolic in slow motion through a patch of daisies with all this free time & flexibility 🤣🌼 ... did I achieve the right visual?

Because owning your own business ... or businesses can be super hard. It's long hours (often weird hours) and it takes a lot of hard work and self-motivation to keep moving the needle forward.

I feel super fortunate that I am in the position to get to do what I do and love being an entrepreneur (coming from someone who took the leap over 5 years ago!) Maybe I just need to start creating my own Motivational Messaging. Instead of ”Entrepreneurship - Be Your Own Boss, ” mine would say ”Entrepreneurship - Only required to wear pants 50% of the time!” 👈

Fellow entrepreneurs, what have been some of your biggest lessons after taking the leap? ✌️
