What have we been up to in 2026? ♻️

During a period of ongoing tire collection challenges across Ontario, eTracks has remained focused on what matters most: keeping tires moving.

From servicing collection sites across the province to working with our network of haulers and processors, our priority continues to be collecting and responsibly recycling as many end-of-life tires as possible, keeping end-of-life tires moving through Ontario’s recycling system and supporting circularity.

Transparency is important to us, and we want our stakeholders to see the activity behind that commitment.

Here is a snapshot of what we have been up to so far in 2026 and the work continuing across the eTracks network.

Competition and collaboration are often treated as opposing ideas in Ontario’s recycling sector. In reality, a well-functioning system needs both.

Competition can drive innovation, efficiency, customer service and cost-effectiveness. But without clear rules around accountability, coordination and continuity of service, competition alone cannot ensure reliable environmental outcomes.

Recent challenges in Ontario’s tire recycling sector highlight why getting this balance right matters.
