Work is fundamental to our well-being. It provides for our families but also contributes to our sense of purpose, belonging, self-esteem and health.

Does a dream job exist? I think there are always going to be tasks within your job description that aren’t your favourite to do or that aren’t a strength of yours. Those tasks that keep you humble, that cause you reflect on yourself and cause doubt within your ability to do the damn thing. It’s not always easy to admit that you have weaknesses within your job, but asking for help with those tasks is a strength and a burden you can step away from.

Feeling the winds changing lately for me professionally. Full-time work is not what it’s cracked up to be anymore, and I feel the need to spend more time with my family and less time working (what a dream, hey?). I’ve missed my VA work…and have beenb blessed to be able to do some small side jobs here and there. I think I might start picking up more VA opportunities!

Thank you for following me! Sorry it’s been quiet but I started a full-time job a few months ago so I’ve been focused on that and the family. For the time being, I’m taking a break from offering VA services as it’s too much to juggle for this busy mama!

The countdown to Christmas is on. The kids are done school for two weeks in a few days and Clients are preparing for some time off. Things can get crazy and hectic, I find what helps me juggle all the things are daily TO-DO lists. Right down to the household chores that need to be done before family arrives next week!

Grab a journal and write out the days until you begin your holidays.

Under each day write the tasks you need to get done. Start with the important work tasks that need completing and even include the tasks that can wait (these can be added onto your New Year list). Prioritize the tasks for each day.

Then add in tasks from your personal life - shopping, cleaning, kids stuff, errands, etc. Make sure to spread them out over each day and prioritize as well!

Having a list and being prepared will reduce the stress that the holidays can bring. Remember, a VA can help reduce the stress of work related tasks. The little things you hate being bothered to do, can be sourced out! The more prepared you are, the more you are set up for a successful and stress free holidays. Hang in there, Santa is almost here!
