Debunking Canadian Wine Myths with Nostalgia 2020 Malbec Petit Verdot 🍷

Carl from Carl's Wine Club spent Day 49 of his 1,000-subscriber challenge with our 2020 Petit Verdot/Malbec, a 50/50 blend, and the results speak for themselves: a Platinum Medal at the 2024 National Wine Awards and a 93-point score.

In the video, Carl digs into the questions we get asked all the time: can Canada really grow "big" Bordeaux reds? Do our wines have aging potential? Are they worth the price? Years in bottle later, this one answers all three with a resounding yes: inky purple in the glass, with layers of florals, to***co, and graphite.

Happy Birthday Vida!

Twenty-five weeks. That’s how early Vida arrived, so small you could hold her in one hand. The next five months were spent in and out of hospital, her family holding their breath, waiting for her to catch up to the world.

She did. Today Vida is bright, bubbly, unstoppable, the kind of kid who lights up a room before she’s even said hello. And now you know why our sparkling rosé carries her name.

Vida! is Pinot Noir dominant, off-dry and fruit forward. The label: covered in petunias, the same ones that bloom across the estate every year, planted by Vida’s grandma.
