The vines that made this wine no longer exist. That’s what makes this bottle final. 🍷

We farm the East Bench Vineyard in Osoyoos, the hottest growing region in Canada. Our family has worked this ground since 2005, and the Syrah went in the year after.

Eighteen vintages, it gave us fruit.

Then the 2024 freeze came through and killed every Syrah vine we had.

So we replanted the whole block. You don’t walk away from land you believe in.

This 2022 is one of the last wines those original vines will ever give us.

Davinder tasted through the 2022 fruit and decided which barrels would house this vintage for the next 24 months. He’s a published wine biochemist, and that year the fruit told him exactly what it needed.

What the vintage gave us:
✦ Deep black fruit
✦ Cracked pepper
✦ Violet and lavender
✦ Big, grippy tannins

So we reached for American oak:
✦ 100% new Missouri American
✦ TN Coopers & World Cooperage
✦ Medium and medium-plus toast
✦ Mix of Traditional and convectional toasting

We never pick oak by formula. Every vintage gets read on its own, and the barrel follows the fruit.

In the glass:
✦ Blackberry, blueberry, sweet cedar, white pepper
✦ Black plum, anise, mocha
✦ Bone dry, full bodied, a finish that holds
✦ Cellars through 2035

96 cases. Once they’re gone, that’s it.

🥈 Silver — 2026 All Canadian Wine Championships
🏆 Gold & Best in Show Red — 2026 Trends TOP BC Wine Awards

The Okanagan summer has a wine. This is it. 🍋

The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc is estate-grown on our Paradise Vineyard in Oliver — river floodplain soils, southeast aspect, morning sun, and cool nights that lock in natural acidity and bright aromatics.

✦ Nose: Lemon, lime, fresh hay
✦ Palate: Green apple, white peach, citrus
✦ Dry · High acidity · Clean precise finish
✦ Pairs perfectly with pan-seared sablefish finished with lemon

Light. Precise. Built for right now.

$24.99 — at the tasting room and vasantiwines.com. Link in bio. 🖤

Good news — our patio, courtyard, and outdoor seating are back open as air quality improves. Thank you for bearing with us.

Our hours remain at 12PM–5PM for now. With the active emergency in the region, traffic through town has dropped significantly, and we’re keeping our hours adjusted while things stabilize.

We expect to return to normal hours very soon, and we’ll let you know the moment we do.

Thanks for your patience and for supporting us through this. 🍇

A quick update for anyone planning to visit us this week.

Due to ongoing wildfire smoke and current air quality advisories, our outdoor patio, courtyard, and seating are closed until conditions improve. As a result, we’re adjusting our hours to 12PM–5PM, effective August 12th.

Our indoor tasting room remains open during these hours — come taste with us inside.

We’ll return to normal hours as soon as it’s safe to do so, and we’ll keep this page updated.

Questions? Send us a DM — we’re happy to help.

Stay safe out there, Okanagan. 🍇

Our neighbours in Summerland and Peachland need us right now.

As wildfire has forced over 20,000 people from their homes, our Vasanti family is stepping up to help. We’re partnering with Mamas for Mamas to support families who’ve been displaced and are starting to rebuild.

We’re donating $5 from every bottle sold to this effort.

The Okanagan community raised us, and it needs support fast. Share this post so more people know how to help. Every share reaches someone who might give.

🍷 Every bottle helps. Every share helps. Stay strong everyone.

Most people never see this moment. This is where great wine is made.

That tool in hand is a wine thief. It pulls a sample directly from the barrel — and what follows is one of the most critical evaluations in winemaking.

Appearance. Aroma. Palate.

Every sample is assessed across all three — clarity, colour development, fruit character, oak integration, acidity, tannin structure, body, balance, finish, and aging potential.

Not once. Across every barrel. Repeatedly throughout the aging process.

What’s resting in our cellar right now are the wines you haven’t tasted yet. The ones being shaped, evaluated, and decided — barrel by barrel.

The results of this process are already on the shelf at Vasanti.

Come taste what patience produces. Our reds are pouring daily at the tasting room in Oliver — link in bio. 🖤

We don’t pick barrels randomly at Vasanti.

This is a Radoux Bordeaux barrel — European oak, Tight Grain Select, Red Pure toast. Every part of that spec was chosen for a reason.

The oak:
Tight Grain Select means the tree grew slowly. Denser wood, more controlled extraction. The oak releases into the wine gradually — building integration over time, not imposing itself on the fruit.

The toast:
Radoux’s Pure process uses low temperature over a long duration, stopping before the high-heat final stage most barrels go through. The result is discreet, highly integrated oak influence that protects the fruit rather than masking it.

What it contributes:
✦ Silky, refined tannin structure
✦ Mid-palate roundness and volume
✦ Subtle cedar and sandalwood
✦ Delicate spice — clove, light nutmeg
✦ A faint violet lift
✦ Extended length and a soft, layered finish

The wine:
Inside is 2025 Cabernet Sauvignon from Suncrest Vineyard — east bench Osoyoos, the hottest growing region in Canada. Deep sand. Granite. Lake-moderated nights.

This is the vineyard site behind some of our most decorated wines.

The barrel was selected to honour that. Nothing more.
