The terroir of our 41 acre vineyard on Black Sage Road in the heart of BC's Okanagan Valley is some of the most exceptional in Canada. A combination of rugged desert earth, long sunlight hours and cool nights yields the intensely flavoured grapes for which we are renowned. The deep sand and intense heat of this micro-climate enable the growth of exceptional Bordeaux and Burgundy grapes which are carefully hand-picked by our team.

Introducing the 2024 Hiatus Collection Sangiovese

First released as an exploration beyond the expected, this is only the second time we have released a Sangiovese. The 2024 vintage brings it back to the cellar, another small, deliberate chapter in Black Hills story.

There is something particularly compelling about a w**e that doesn’t arrive on schedule. One that asks for patience. One that may not return again for some time.
