Cachola Family Vineyards

Cachola Family Vineyards The Cachola Family Vineyards are located north of Oliver, British Columbia, in Canada’s Okanagan Valley. The decision was difficult, but well thought-out.

Since 1960, this family-owned business has been producing quality fruit that has been distributed near and far. It all began in 1955, when Damiao Cachola came to Canada. He worked in sawmills and at other various jobs, and before long he fell in love with the Okanagan Valley and took on a life as an orchardist. Damiao and his wife, Maria, built a legacy they are now passing on to their children an

d grandchildren. In 2010, the decline in the tree-fruit industry necessitated a change and the Cacholas planted their first vines. With fervor, the son, Don Cachola, and his wife, Shana, gathered information about the process of sowing and nurturing quality grapes. They began to network and grow relationships in the industry and that has proven to be invaluable. As a family, the Cacholas strive to orchestrate a product customized to each winery with which they work. The result is that Okanagan Valley wine that you’ve grown to love.
