Stoneboat wines derive their vivid character from the rocky, calcium rich benches where our vineyards flourish. Our vines thrive atop hundreds of feet of stones, producing fruit of exceptional concentration and character. Here we strive to farm thoughtfully and respectfully, creating wines that are distinct, honest and above all, true to their origins in our vineyards.

Barrel-fermenting Pinot Gris this Thanksgiving weekend for our Reserve series. 🙌🍇

Today, those hoses are carrying juice straight into neutral French oak barrels, where a small portion of our Reserve Pinot Gris begins its transformation.

Barrel fermentation adds more than oak exposure—it brings a rounder mouthfeel, a whisper of oak flavours, and a savoury layer of complexity beneath the bright orchard fruit.

Only a portion of the lot sees barrel, so the Pinot Gris stays fresh & aromatic with an additional texture and depth in comparison to our Estate Series.

Pinotage has arrived to the crush pad! 🙌 🍇

Known as South Africa’s signature red grape, Pinotage is a unique crossing between Pinot Noir + Cinsault, combining bright fruit character with depth, structure and personality all its own.

Today these grapes begin their journey from vineyard to bottle. From fruit to fermentation, we are excited to watch the 2026 vintage take shape over the coming months.

This batch of Pinot Blanc is fermenting beneath a VC tank’s floating inner lid, which rises with the w**e, creates an airtight seal with an inflatable gasket, and can be repositioned by a lifting rope as fermentation progresses.
