Who is Wesley Ogude?
Wesley Ogude, a well-known Canadian business executive and entrepreneur originally from Nigeria, has been acknowledged as one of Canada’s most exceptional business leaders. He has demonstrated visionary leadership and accomplished great things in the corporate world. Ogude is the Group CEO of Springwells Group of companies, a private equity group in Canada that operates in Canada, the US, and Nigeria. He has not only led the group to success but has also helped many high-net-worth professionals achieve long-lasting wealth.
Wesley Ogude has gained over 25 years of professional experience across different industries such as investment and commercial banking, IT consulting, consumer financing, integrated logistics, and commercial real estate. He has become a respected trailblazer and leader in the community.
The broad range of skills he possesses, including expertise in Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT and systems implementation, Finance, strategic planning and Decision support, audit, Taxation and governance, Treasury, Asset negotiation, acquisition and management, entity and start-up formation, and wealth consulting, has been instrumental in his impressive achievements as a business entrepreneur.
In 2001, Wesley Ogude moved to Canada to explore better career prospects. He made an immediate impact as a Certified SAP Application Consultant, successfully implementing large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for several multinational organizations. His remarkable achievements in the corporate sector drew the attention of esteemed companies such as General Electric, CGI Consulting, and Purolator Inc, where he held several leadership roles.
He made history by becoming Purolator’s first black Finance Director in their 50-year history. During his tenure, he managed intricate outsourcing contracts and saved the company CAD$85 Million (N51 billion). Due to this accomplishment, he received a corporate scholarship to pursue an Executive MBA at Queen’s School of Business. He graduated with distinction in 2010. Two years later, in 2012, Wesley Ogude decided to delve into entrepreneurship, and he established start-up companies in Canada, the US, and Nigeria.
