I’m lowkey guilty of this as well but it has to be said…

We have become accustomed to things being easier and automated in our lives that we no longer think it’s worth it to do the hard work.

Because there must be a shortcut, right?!

Studying a language can be challenging but it’s a part of the journey. How someone learns a language might be different for you because we all learn differently.

Give different learning strategies a try and if you’re not seeing progress, change and keep moving.

We have 5 spots open for people looking to improve their English conversation skills before 2027.

If this sounds like you, send us a message with the word “community” and we will share more details!

Take a sneak peek into what one of our Club Bouquin sessions are like.

This month, we read a story from “Short Stories in French” by Olly Richards. Safe to say, it’s normally fun and enlightening.

You never really know where another language might take you.

A new job.
A new country.
New friendships.
New experiences.
An entirely new opportunity you couldn’t have predicted.

You may start learning French or English for one reason and discover that it opens doors you never expected.

Sometimes learning the language is just the beginning. 🌎

Should beginners practise speaking French from day one? Yes.

If you want to improve your French speaking skills, you need opportunities to actually speak French, even as a beginner.

Grammar and vocabulary are important, but studying them alone won’t necessarily make you comfortable having a conversation in French.

Speaking helps you practise retrieving the words you already know, forming sentences in real time and becoming more comfortable communicating even when your French isn’t perfect.

And beginner French conversation practice doesn’t need to be complicated. Start with what you know:

“Bonjour.”
“Je m’appelle…”
“J’habite à…”
“J’aime…”

Then build from there.

You don’t have to wait until you’re fluent to start speaking French. Speaking is part of how you get there.

Ready to start speaking? 👀
