🟢 CEGEP: The public college system (with some private options).
Complete freedom. No one calls your parents if you skip class, but you are 100% responsible for keeping up with the heavy workload.

🟣 ​Grade 12: A private high school program that follows the curriculum of other provinces (like Ontario) or international systems.
Highly supportive but tightly supervised. Class sizes are usually very small, and teachers keep a close eye on you.

Deciding between CEGEP and Grade 12 in Quebec ultimately comes down to first, finances followed by a choice between independence and structure. To make the best choice, consider where you want to study, your readiness for self-directed learning, how you handle academic pressure, and your overall budget for post-secondary education.

They're looking for:
✅️ financial need
✅️ community and school involvement,
✅️ letters of support,
✅️ proof of career aspirations in a health-related field
e.g., medical school, nursing, psychology, kinesiology, physiotherapy, nutrition, paramedicine, chiropractic care, public health, health research, etc.

Who can provide a letter of support and how many do I need? 🤔

Someone who has known you for at least two years and who is not part of your family. Example:
➡️ teacher/professor,
➡️ guidance counsellor
➡️ a school representative,
➡️ employer/supervisor,
➡️ a supervisor of a volunteer role,
➡️ a coach, etc.
