This recent post is inspired by a recent client conversation that we know we have all experienced at some point đ
Hereâs what to keep in mind when dealing with coworkers who act out of jealousy or insecurity:
đ«¶đŸStay grounded in your purpose â Donât dim your light just because someone else feels threatened by your shine.
đ«¶đŸDonât engage in unnecessary conflict. That type of energy is not your assignment.
đ«¶đŸDocument everything â If their behavior crosses a line, protect yourself with receipts.
đ«¶đŸSet boundaries, not walls â You can be professional without being overly personal.
đ«¶đŸCelebrate your wins out LOUDđđŸ
Letâs really focus on this last point.
In workplaces where competition and comparison run deep, it can feel safer to shrink. But donât let jealousy or shade from others convince you to go quiet about your accomplishments.
âĄïžYou earned that promotion.
âĄïžYou crushed that project.
âĄïžYou navigated a tough situation with grace.
Affirm your own growth. You model confidence and self-advocacy for others. You take up the space youâve worked hard to occupy.
Let people be uncomfortable with your excellenceâitâs not your job to make them feel better about their insecurities.
Remember jealousy thrives in silence. Let your work speak louder.
You are brilliant â€ïž
