Such a huge honor to be recognized by the International Partnership Network for the work I've done with Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. I am truly lucky to be able to say 'I love what I do' thanks to the opportunity to work with Lydia Hamilton and Cathy Belanger.

After a quiet summer, I'd forgotten how much I love working with Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) SHSM students and delivering Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE) training. A big THANK YOU to the Sector Champions that came out to share their career journey with our Arts & Culture and ICT students. Kathy Hoos (Photographer), Nabil Ould-Brahim from Venture Creative Collective, Spencer MacPherson from Point3D Commercial Imaging, Lyndsay Bolden from L. E. Bolden, and Sue Dwyer from Suzie Q Designs. Taking students through a Design Thinking crash course was also a fantastic and fun preparation for Day 2.

I'm looking to speak with and potentially hire someone with knowledge and experience in Sales Cloud with Salesforce (3+ years experience) to work with me on a project. I'd like to speak with a few people to share the scope of work and determine best fit.

Working with high school students has always been one of my goals. I am thrilled that I am able to continue to do that through my company as a facilitator and mentor with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) ICE training.

Sometimes, the oversized cheque for winning the business pitching competition is as much as $50 billion. The winnings are imaginary, but the lessons are real for students of the Ottawa-Carleton Dis…

Have you ever thought about how empathy applies to every sector and role? I was with another group of students today delivering Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship with Maria Artuso, through my work with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and the Ottawa Network for Education / Réseau d'Ottawa pour l'Éducation . One of the student's objectives was to create a business that solved a problem. When I asked what fields they thought empathy was the most relevant they all said health care, social work, psychology, and teaching but nobody said business. I shared with them that I use empathy as a core part of my business when I work with clients. It's an integral element of the need-finding process and relationship building. This has me curious to know how others use empathy in their business.

"Love what you do. Do what you love." Today was that kind of day as I stepped away from the day to day business to facilitate a group of engaged high school students and explored the concepts of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship with them. This is part of the continued work I do with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and an incredible opportunity to bring inspiring and motivational local entrepreneurs such as Sophia J Events, Walk With Me Ottawa, and Lana Dingwall to share their story.

Majic happens when you put 60 high school students in a room, provide a framework and let innovation and creativity take over. When given a real world problem from Adobe, these students worked together to develop solutions. I love being part of days like this as part of my work with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.

I have been fortunate to be one of those people that can honnestly say 'I love my job' and today is no different. Despite being pulled in different directions due to multiple clients and contracts, it's an incredible feeling to actually 'want' to get up and work each day on something I love and not something that simply pays the bills.

An interesting article on 4 different types of innovators. I would have to say that I fall in the Engineer category with an Athlete complex of wanting to do things bigger and better than others.
