I'm reading Cal Newport's new book, Slow Productivity. Mr Newport argues that knowledge workers should do fewer things, more slowly and at a higher level of quality. His arguments are persuasive with this caveat: Will clients pay more for higher quality work? The answer might be “no,” in which case, knowledge workers may be stuck rushing through assignment after assignment, which along with huge administrative burdens imposed on them by each task including such things as massive email correspondence requirements as well as significant upper and lower tier management demands may cause burnout when attempting to achieve their month end or quarterly financial goals.

Who has incentive to keep high? Homeowners, realtors, mortgage brokers, bankers, lenders, appraisers, home builders, infestations of consultants, local politicians, contractors, trades, insurance companies, building suppliers, appliance and equipment makers, architects and designers to name a few. Who wants lower prices? First time home buyers. = oxymoron.

A brilliant young entrepreneur, Abed Abuosba, goes from building 1 quality kitchen every 2 months to 1 a week, https://fanan.ca/. How? Using CNC machining.
