Update on Recent Windstorm Impact:

On the evening of Friday May 29 severe winds swept through Eastern Ontario, downing trees and branches and cutting power to tens of thousands of hydro customers, including many of Storm Internet's customers in the Perth, Middleville, Pakenham, Lavant and Galbraith areas and beyond.

Storm Internet's staff monitored the situation on Friday night through to the early hours of Saturday, May 30. Then, on Saturday morning, we dispatched technicians where it was safe for us to do so with battery packs and generators in order to reduce the impact for clients connected to our network.

Severe damage to our infrastructure was, thankfully, limited and restoration efforts and damage assessments continued through Sunday May 31 with most customers' services restored by Monday afternoon.

We are currently experiencing network outages after last night's severe weather, high winds, and subsequent power outages which have impacted our network and may be affecting your service.

Restoration efforts are ongoing as our teams and Hydro One work to safely access and repair equipment.
