In this episode we talk about how BadLeader came to be, going to a private high school and what how I will spend the rest of my life dedicated to improving the construction industry.

Had the absolute privilege speaking on a panel recently at the Annual General Meeting for the Workers History Museum.

Thank you Amie Wright for the great questions and leading our conversation and new friend Jane Wang who shared her great opinions on the state of work and AI.

Thank you Leslie Hutchinson for organizing and being so welcoming!

Congratulations to Mary Pigott on being selected as a new board member!

The musuem works hard to celebrate workers’ history in the Ottawa area.

I was able to share peronsal experiences in construction and speak to the importance of advocating for workers and how the industry is changing in an age where people value different things.

During the Q and A session I was able to speak positively about what the Carpenters’ Regional Council has done for me personally but also how much training and development they are doing for the construction industry as a whole.

Proud to be a blue collar worker.

Trust is the keystone, the girder beam, the foundation, the most important pieces of any relationship.
Family, friends, neighbours, companies… it’s all founded on trust. Are you a trustworthy person? Why or why not?

RISE our construction workers.

Respect
Invest
Support
Educate

Stop razzing and start RISEing.

The support I have received recently from the has been appreciated and honestly a little unexpected.

It was a joy to do this article. I’m thankful to be able to share the heart behind the BadLeader movement.

If you got a few minutes I invite you to check it out and message of how we can serve you or your audience!

April 28 is National Day of Mourning.

We remember the workers that have died, were injured, or became ill from their job.

Safety has increased greatly over the last decade and for that I am grateful.

Looking ahead: psychological safety can often be put aside because we are tough.

Bullying, intimidation, manipulation, fear are still all too common on our job sites.

Check on your family construction worker.

Be well.
