Snow is an awesome sensory activity that we don't actually get to feel with our hands very often. I feel like I'm always rushing to put mittens back onto frozen fingers. This morning we brought the snow inside, and everyone had a blast!! The little ones got to play with snow in a new and different way, and th big ones got to see that snow isn't as clean as it looks!

The winter weather hasn't got us down! We've been busy watching snow removal crews in our neighbourhood, toboganning and playing outside to make the best of our bone chilling situation!

I'm all about these sensory bags! Medium sized zip lock bags filled with hair gel, confetti and fridge magnets, then sealed with moving tape. They'll keep your toddler busy in a high chair or on the ground. My toddler loves squishing them and pushing the magnets around. Literally minutes of fun before he threw it on the ground! Remember to supervise your kids!

This article proposes using some of the 200 million dollars recently announced for childcare spaces to support Early Childhood Educators - like me - who operate unlicensed home daycares. Childcare looks different for every family, and while large childcare centers do great work, there are lots of ways to provide quality childcare.
