On February 1, we honoured Serge Gagnon for his dedicated service to Canada. From joining the Canadian Forces Reserve in 1982 to serving in leadership roles such as Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Executive Officer, Serge completed over nine years of service before retiring as a Captain in 1992. Janice shares her experiences serving as a Finance Clerk at C.F.B. Borden, deploying with the United Nations Emergency Force Middle East II mission, and spending 14 years with an international NGO before continuing her commitment with Commissionaires Ottawa. Her story reflects a lifetime of quiet leadership, resilience, and service to others—proving that honour is built over time through steadfast dedication and a deep sense of responsibility to the world around us.

A Salute to Service presented by Commissionaires Ottawa 🇨🇦

This Sunday, we honoured Carole Morissette for her dedicated service to Canada. Carole joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1984 and served for 32 years, completing three tours overseas, including Bosnia Herzegovina, Afghanistan and on board Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Winnipeg in the Horn of Africa. Carole retired as a Master Warrant Officer and today continues to serve her community by volunteering and dedicating her time to numerous veterans’ organizations.

Thank you, Carole, for your service and ongoing dedication to veterans.

Thank you Paul for your service to country!

A Salute to Service, presented by Commissionaires Ottawa.

This Sunday, we honoured Paul Hook for his dedicated service to Canada. Paul joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1998 and served for 25 years in various command and staff roles within the Canadian Army, VCDS Group, and Military Personnel Command, retiring as a Major. Today, Paul continues to support the veteran community through his role as Managing Director of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research.
