Sparks Auctions’ Fall Sale features standout Canadian and worldwide rarities

CSDA member Sparks Auctions is set to hold its Autumn 2025 Sale from Oct. 29–31 in Ottawa, offering an impressive range of Canadian and worldwide material.

Among the many highlights is Lot 274, the 1930 50-cent on 36-cent olive green Columbia Flight—a fine–very fine, never hinged example of this legendary Newfoundland airmail rarity. Only 300 stamps were overprinted to mark the Miss Columbia’s 1930 transatlantic flight attempt by Captain J. Erroll Boyd and Lieutenant Harry P. Connor, with just about 100 believed used on cover.

Beyond this key item, the sale features strong Canadian classics, British North America rarities, and worldwide postal history, plus proofs, modern errors, and specialized collections.
