With a distance travelled equal to 16 trips around the globe, 625 replenishments at sea, 35 million US gallons of fuel delivered and support provided to 21 nations, Asterix has a proven record of performance. She continues to deliver value as an innovation platform, including recent onboard trials in 3D printing, providing 95% of the design capability at 20% of the cost and in 10% of the time.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this year's Navy Bike Ride. We were proud to be there for the presentation of the $51,000 raised in support of such worthy charities and are honoured to continue sponsoring such a worthwhile event. We look forward to supporting it again next year and for many years to come.

Today, during the Royal Canadian Navy's C Navy Orientation Day at Connaught Range and Primary Training Centre in Ottawa, we were honoured to present a cheque for $51,000 to our three incredible charitable partners: the Navalis Foundation, Canadian Forces Support Our Troops Forces Canadiennes Appuyons nos troupes and Soldier On / Sans Limites.

Hosted by the Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, Vice-Admiral Dan Charlebois, the event brought together Navy Bike Ride sponsors, Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services leadership, Navy leadership, and our charitable representatives. During the event, we recognized and celebrated our sponsors - because without their generous support, this event wouldn’t be possible year after year.

Aujourd’hui, lors de la Journée d’orientation du C Marine de la Marine royale canadienne, qui s’est tenue au Centre d’entraînement primaire et de tir de Connaught, à Ottawa, nous avons eu l’honneur de remettre un chèque de 51 000 $ à nos trois formidables partenaires caritatifs : la Fondation Navalis, Appuyons nos troupes et Sans limites.

Organisé par le commandant de la Marine royale canadienne, le vice-amiral Dan Charlebois, l’événement a réuni les commanditaires du Défi-Vélo de la Marine, les dirigeants des Services de bien-être et moral des Forces canadiennes, les dirigeants de la Marine et les représentants de nos organismes de bienfaisance.
