What happens when you change just one line in your outreach?
Spoiler: everything.

🟣We conducted A/B tests with two topics in a cold email campaign:
- Version A: Quick question about your team’s expansion
- Version B: [First Name], saw something relevant to your role

The results were found to be close to the following figures:
- Version A: 27% open rate
- Version B: 42% open rate

Same list. Same offer. Same timing.
The only difference: contextual personalization vs generic curiosity.

It tells us the following:
🟪Relevance beats intrigue — especially in B2B
🟪Using job-role language in the subject line helps filter the right eyes
🟪Personalization isn’t just a name tag — it’s about signal

Sometimes, the smallest tweaks have the biggest impact.

Curious what subject lines are working for others in 2025 — share your best-performing ones below.

Surprising insight from outreach campaign

We analyzed reply rates across 3 follow-up touchpoints - and here's what stood out:
🟪The second follow-up generated 2.3x more replies than the initial cold message.
🟪But after the third follow-up, the reply rate dropped sharply.

What does this tell us?
🟣The majority of B2B prospects don’t respond right away, even if they’re a good fit.
🟣Timing and familiarity matter more than a perfectly crafted first email.
❌On the flip side, too many follow-ups can hurt engagement instead of helping it.

Outbound is always a learning process - and it’s the small patterns that build better systems. You can learn more on our website or contact us personally.

🔮Identifying suitable customers is of the greatest importance for the growth of the cosmetic biotech industry.

When attempting to enter a specialized market such as microbiome-based cosmetic ingredients, particular difficulties emerge, particularly in interactions with R&D and scientific project managers.

The primary issues companies face when planning effective ways to reach customers in this special market are as follows:
🟣Searching for innovation managers, microbiome scientists who can truly benefit from microbiome-based solutions.
🟣Communicating complex scientific value propositions in a way that resonates with biotech and cosmetic industry professionals.
🟣Maintaining engagement quality while reaching key decision-makers at scale.

To manage these challenges, a highly strategic approach is necessary:
🟪Finding and verifying relevant professionals before reaching out.
🟪Combining email, LinkedIn, and direct calls to maximize touchpoints and engagement.
🟪Focusing on scientific pain points and innovation rather than generic sales pitches.

By implementing a targeted, data-driven approach, businesses in biotech and cosmetics can significantly improve lead generation and conversion rates.

The secret to a cold email that gets responses? It's all in the P.S. (yeah, it might sound strange)

Think of it as your chance to break the pattern of your serious message and add a little personality or insight that makes the recipient pause and engage

Here’s why a great PS line is crucial

1️⃣it adds intrigue
A good PS is like a mini cliffhanger. It sparks curiosity, making the potential customer want to reply or learn more

🚫“Looking forward to hearing from you”
✅“P.S. Noticed you’re using [tool/software] - how’s that working out?”

2️⃣it gives a personal touch
Casual and relatable PS lines make your email feel less robotic

🚫“Best regards”
✅“P.S. Saw your team is expanding in [location] - how’s the talent search going?”

3️⃣it reinforces your offer
If you’re solving a problem, the PS is your chance to remind them how you can help

🚫“Let me know if you’re interested”
✅“P.S. Noticed you're hiring in tech - our platform could cut your search time in half”

4️⃣it leaves them with something to think about
Thought-provoking PS lines often lead to more engagement

🚫“Hope to hear back soon”
✅“P.S. Saw you hired 3 AEs - do you really have 4 months for ramp-up?”

Bottom line? Your PS line is your golden ticket to standing out in the crowded inbox

What’s your favorite PS line for cold emails?

❄️The evolution of cold email

Cold email is still a great way to develop your business, but the way you do it has changed. In a time where people receive many emails, it is important to make sure your emails are not just a lot of words, but that they are also well thought out and planned.

The core changes are as follows:
🟣Messages that sound human, not robotic, build trust faster.
🟣Generic introductions are no longer effective. Tailoring emails to individual challenges and interests makes a difference.
🟣Focus on the benefits for the recipient. Messages that are clear and provide immediate value will drive engagement.
🟣Timing and sequencing are crucial for follow-ups. A well-timed message is preferable to a flood of emails.

🔮Cold emailing is still effective, but in 2025, precision, empathy and relevance are key. How are you adapting to these changes? We look forward to discussion in the comments section.

♾️ Multi-Channel Outreach Matters in Sales

Timing is crucial in sales, but it's not the only factor that determines success.

🟣 Reaching out at the perfect moment is valuable—offering the right service when a company needs it most can be a game-changer. But even if the timing is right, deals can still be missed. Why? Because the message might never reach the right person.

So it's unwise to rely on just one way of getting in touch.

🟣 While some people might not check their email so often, they might be more active on LinkedIn. Others may not reply to messages but will answer a phone call. So it's better to use different ways to connect with people. According to a HubSpot study, 61% of sales teams that exceed their targets use three or more channels to engage potential customers.

But be careful not to do too much of anything. It's important to be patient, but not so patient that you're annoying the person you're trying to contact.

🟣 Trying different ways to contact people can help you find the best ways to reach them. It doesn't matter if it's LinkedIn, email, phone calls, or even platforms like Discord—understanding audience behavior makes all the difference.

☎️❄️📧 Cold call or email first? Here’s the deal

Imagine this: you're trying to reach a potential client. Should you call or email? There are advantages to each, and the right one for you will depend upon your product, target group and situation.

🟣 If your product or service is well suited to real-time interactions, then calling can be an effective way to grab attention, answer questions instantly, and build rapport.

But you have to admit that getting through to executives in large organisations can be difficult, and unexpected calls may not go down too well.

🟣 An email serves as an introduction, giving potential clients time to process the information, and if they have already seen your message, your follow-up call will feel less "cold" and more natural.

🟣 In traditional sectors such as construction, manufacturing and logistics, personal connections are highly valued, meaning that calls tend to be more effective.
In digital sectors such as SaaS, technology and eCommerce, email has a greater impact as they are heavily reliant on data.

🟪 Don't stick to one channel. A multichannel approach—combining emails, calls, LinkedIn, and even SMS—gives you the best shot at success.

❄️ Are you using the 30/30/50 rule in cold outreach?
If not, you may be missing out on better results.

The 30/30/50 rule is a simple framework that helps structure and optimise outreach campaigns.

The following three steps are recommended:

🟣 Step 1: Open Rate (30%)
Out of one hundred cold emails sent, around 30% should be opened. While it's harder to track open rates due to new email regulations, a strong subject line and proper targeting are still key.

🟣 Step 2: Reply Rate (30%)
From the 30 emails that were opened, about 30% should result in a reply – that's around 10 replies. How relevant, personalised and clear the message is will affect this stage.

🟣 Step 3: Conversion Rate (50%)
Finally, 50% of replies should show interest. This could be in the form of booking a meeting, requesting more details, or moving toward a deal. This means 5 good leads for every 100 emails.

The 30/30/50 rule is about more than just getting a high reply rate. It involves a comprehensive improvement of the entire cold outreach process, including the composition of subject lines, the content of messages, the follow-up procedures and the timing of communications.

❔ How do these results compare to your own? We would be interested to hear your thoughts on this matter and welcome any comments you may wish to share in the comments section.

🔮 How Targeted Lead Generation Drives Real Results in a Biotechnology Market

Expanding in a specialized biotech field like Nutraceutical and NutraPharma research is challenging, especially when offering unique services like zebrafish-based studies.

There are a number of challenges to getting an effective outbound in order to get new clients for such an industry:
🟣 Finding relevant researchers and industry decision-makers who benefit and would be interested in zebrafish model studies.
🟣 Conveying the message and value proposition in the right manner for the message to resonate with a specific target audience such as researchers and biotech/pharma.
🟣 Scaling outreach while maintaining high levels of personalized engagement.

To achieve this, we primarily recommend utilizing the following approaches:
🟪 Building a high-quality database of people who are the most interested in your services do the research prior to reaching out to those people.
🟪 Multi-channel campaigns are a must for this market, try using Emails, sometimes LinkedIn, or phone calls, even WhatsApp is a great choice for your outbound campaigns in this market.
🟪 Use only relevant messages that will resonate and be real solutions for scientific challenges rather than simple sales pitches.

🧬 Struggling to Attract High-Quality Clients in Biotech? You’re Not Alone.

💜 According to our research and experience, the following factors distinguish successful biotech marketing:

🟪 The email and messages you send should be hand-crafted based on the recipients current background, aim, and role. The more relevant is the message - the more chances for you to get a productive conversation;
