My name is Amy Bell and I am currently in my first year of the Master of Human Kinetics Intervention and Consultation in Sport, Physical Activity, and Health program at the University of Ottawa. The goal of this program is to create competent mental performance consultants, people who help athletes or teams develop mental skills such as positive self-talk (confidence building), motivation, attenti

on and distraction control (focus), time management and organization, imagery and visualization, stress and emotion management, team building, and communication. Beginning in April, I will be starting an internship and hoping to work with athletes either in a one-on-one or group capacity.
