Sander Geophysics is Back in Ireland

Sander Geophysics is very pleased to have resumed flying high resolution multi-parameter geophysical surveys in Ireland, with flights this season planned over the counties of Kerry and Clare using two of SGL's Twin Otter aircraft. This current campaign is part of the Geological Survey of Ireland's ongoing Tellus project to collect geochemical and geophysical data across Ireland. Minister Darragh O’Brien said: “By the end of the survey, we will have flown all the far corners of the country and everywhere in between, collecting detailed geophysical data. The airborne data is being used to improve our geological maps and search for critical raw materials.”

The Tellus survey is undertaking the final phases of a national airborne survey over counties Kerry and Clare this year. When finished, the survey will be complete for the whole country, making Ireland one of the best geophysical mapped countries in the world. The survey takes off this spring with t...

SGL Completes Large-Scale Gravity Survey over Australia

Sander Geophysics has completed an extensive airborne gravity survey over Victoria, Australia. The survey provides the State Government of Victoria with consistent, high quality, evenly distributed gravity data, including over areas that are difficult to access on the ground. According to the State Government, the new gravity data will greatly improve Victoria’s gravity model and the accuracy of real-world heights from GPS positioning, as well as aiding in the understanding of southeast Australia’s geology.

New airborne gravity survey to improve the vertical accuracy of GPS and advance the understanding of Victoria’s geology.
