Adapted from a framework in Patrick Bet-Davidโs book โYour Next Five Movesโ, here are 8 key entrepreneurial abilities. Weโve summarized them in no particular order.
1๏ธโฃ Inventor:
๐ฏ Builds the technology that powers businesses. Conceptualizes and processes productive ideas and inventions, then passes them on to those who can sell and publicize them. Is a zero to one (0 to 1) kind of person.
2๏ธโฃ Capitalist:
๐ฏBuilds, buys or buys into businesses for the sake of growing them. Is a one to many (1 to n) kind of person and big on risk taking.
3๏ธโฃ Founder:
๐ฏBuilds businesses from scratch and organizes resources to accomplish a vision. Can also have the traits of both or either the Inventor or Capitalist.
4๏ธโฃ Intrapreneur:
๐ฏBuilds with the Inventor, Capitalist and Founder. Doesnโt want to start or own a business, but wants to own a stake in an emerging or established business.
5๏ธโฃ Solopreneur:
๐ฏWorks for and provides strategic direction and guidance that powers the idea and business of the Inventor, Capitalist and/or Founder.
6๏ธโฃ Support Talent:
๐ฏWorks with Inventors, Capitalists, Founders and Intrapreneurs and loves to align with great ideas.
7๏ธโฃ Influencing Talent:
๐ฏPromotes, publicizes and recommends the products of Inventors, Capitalists and/or Founders.
8๏ธโฃ Sales Talent:
๐ฏTransacts with the products developed or acquired by Inventors, Capitalists and/or Founders.
