The first-ever Rock n Roll session is happening in Parry Sound — at the wicked Big Sound MMA!

You’re getting a little ROCK and a little ROLL with Brian since he just earned his black belt in jiu jitsu.

Separate from his duo performance the next day, Brian’s stoked to kick off what’s sure to be a stellar Saturday afternoon rolling with local jiu jitsu guys… and hey, we all know he’ll bring the rock too. 😉

Back in 2010, I booked Brian Byrne (former lead singer of I Mother Earth) for a Labour Day patio show overlooking Georgian Bay. Funny thing — I wasn't even planning to go to my own show. Worked too much that week. But the morning of, the 90's rock fan in me said "show up, even for two songs."

In strolled Brian and Gerry, we hit it off instantly, and that one show turned into years of working together — Turtle Music Festival included (IYKYK).

This week I had an "it'd be cool to wrap up summer with a show" thought... and in under 4 hours we had a venue, tech, accommodations, and food locked in. I've always worked best under pressure, and this one's just hitting right.

Still a few details to nail down, but in under 2 weeks, a great show is happening on the Legend Spirits patio in Parry Sound Downtown.
