Days are getting shorter and so are our tasting room hours.

For the month of September we will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 12pm to 5pm.

We will also be open Monday September 7th for the long weekend.

The first grapes of the 2026 vintage have been pressed!

These are Madeleine Sylvaner grapes, grown by our friends at Zanatta Vineyard over in the Cowichan. A beautifully aromatic, early ripening variety that really keeps us on our toes for the start of crush.

These grapes are destined to become Cucumaria, our deliciously aromatic, off-dry white that made it's debut with the 2025 vintage.

The medals have arrived!

All four of our entries in the Cascadia International W**e Competition received medals! Ortega, Salish Sea, and Intertidal each won silver, while our Blanc de Noir took home bronze.

We're so happy for our w**emaker to recieve this recognition on her first vintage here at Sea Star. Keep up the great work Julia and Adrian, and here’s to what comes next!

Last call for Blanc de Noir!

We’re quickly running out of our 2025 Blanc de Noir in the tasting room.

You may still be able to find a few bottles at select liquor stores, and our w**e club members will have a small allocation available for their fall shipment, but otherwise, it’s almost a wrap on the 2025 vintage.

If you’ve been meaning to grab a bottle (or a few), now’s the time.

The weather is looking beautiful, the smoke is clearing from the skies, and we’re looking forward to a couple of peaceful mornings of movement and stretching on the w**ery lawn.

We’re delighted to share that three w**es from our 2025 vintage — Salish Sea, Ortega, and Intertidal — each received a silver medal at the Cascadia International W**e Competition.

We’re incredibly proud to see these w**es recognized, and especially happy that Julia and Adrian’s first vintage at Sea Star is already an award-winning one!

Gamay, Maréchal Foch, and Pinot Gris come together in a dry, expressive sparkling w**e crafted using the Charmat method.

Juicy strawberry and plum meet a gently rich, savoury character, lively effervescence, and a bright, fresh finish. Deeper, fuller, and more fruit-forward than the previous vintage, while still retaining the beautiful freshness that has always made Bulla Maris so easy to enjoy.
