Originally based out of Kamloops, B.C. before relocating to Penticton, The STARTING POINT Professional Services was founded by husband and wife team, Victoria + Justin, in 2017. Our service area includes (but isn't limited to) the Southern and Central BC Interior for in person events/ activities & our online programming is set to BC's local (Pacific Standard) Time.

Since its inception, The Starting Point Professional Services (The Starting Point") held events including the “Aboriginal Business Networking + Social” and “Friendly Encounters”. We hosted numerous workshops and presentations including: “Social Media Management for Non-profit organizations", "Creating Social Media Stats Reports” & “Minimalistic Marketing Strategies”. We even facilitated community training opportunities including “Learning to Live Independently”, “Pre-Employment Training” and our “Self Employment- Getting Started” program.

The Starting Point Professional Services launches online events & programming

The STARTING POINT hasn’t launched programs or events in two years and the requests for our programs and services are coming in. Clients are asking for the delivery of STARTING POINT programs and events and making them available for online learning.

March 2022 we dove in and will be launching our first program series for personal development. "Make it Happen" will be a series of ten sessions starting in April of two hours each. Make it Happen is designed to guide clients through a series of facilitated discussions and activities to help them get started and "Make it Happen"!

April 2022 we will launch our second program series for professional development, yet to be titled. Through the delivery of a series of workshops starting in May 2022, The STARTING POINT Professional Services will lead clients in entrepreneurial activities and engage in a dialogue intended to assist our clients with planning, development and launch of their business ventures.

The STARTING POINT will resume their INDIGENOUS BUSINESS SOCIAL + NETWORKING event and launching their INDIGENOUS WOMEN IN BUSINESS social and networking event starting in May 2022!

These online programs also allow us the opportunity to offer our programs to a wider audience outside of our current service area. Which is exciting for us! The STARTING POINT is reaching a turning point!”

The STARTING POINT Professional Services is a registered Canadian general partnership in British Columbia founded in February 2017 by husband-and-wife team, Victoria and Justin Jaenig. Their passions in life and their love of learning combined with the consistent requests for knowledge sharing led Mr. and Mrs. Jaenig to form the STARTING POINT Professional Services. Together they deliver personal and professional development projects, events and planning services.

Originally based out of Kamloops, B.C., The STARTING POINT held events including the “Aboriginal Business Networking + Social” and “Friendly Encounters”. They hosted various Workshops and Presentations including: “Urban Gardening”, “Creating Social Media Stats Reports” & “Minimalistic Marketing Strategies” and facilitated community training opportunities through-out the BC Interior including “Learning to Live Independently”, “T.E.A.M. Building: Pre-Employment Training” and “Self Employment- Getting Started”.

After relocating to the South Okanagan in 2019 from the (B.C.) Central Interior, we were preparing to re-launch the STARTING POINT in the South Okanagan in March (of 2020), but the global pandemic halted those plans. The STARTING POINT Professional services is pleased to announce their official re-launch and will be announcing upcoming programs and opportunities.

With Victoria owning 60% of the company, as a registered member of the Penticton Indian Band and ancestral lineages in the syilx/ secwepemc/ colville communities The Starting Point Professional Services is an indigenous & female led business venture.

MAKE IT HAPPEN 2022

Having trouble getting started on that ONE thing you really want to do? Make it happen 2022 was developed to do just that! To help YOU Make it Happen.

This personal development program facilitates 10 different 2-hour sessions aimed at helping you get started! Each facilitated activity and discussion can be a stand-alone workshop or taken whole 10 workshops.

Make it Happen will be available in a Morning, Afternoon or Evening session to accommodate different schedules.
