Little Engine Wines

Little Engine Wines Focusing on the finest fruit, small batch ferments and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Recognized for complexity, exceptional quality and harmony between the key attributes of an exceptional wine. Our philosophy begins in the vineyard with precise pruning, canopy management, and cluster thinning. We pursue low yields with the aim of producing small amounts of fruit that contain intense flavour concentration. Our hand selected fruit combined with minimally-invasive winemaking techniq

ues allow for our wines to evolve with an expression of purity. In our cellar, a combination of natural yeasts, gentle maceration, french oak barrels and attention to every detail, results in wines of depth, complexity, character, elegance and feature a long satisfying finish.

Yesterday marked the start of Canadian Environment Week, so we’re taking a moment to reflect on the land we live with, farm, and depend on.

At Little Engine, sustainability begins in the vineyard.

Long before a bottle reaches the table, we’re thinking about the health of our soil, the life between the rows, and the future of the land we’re lucky enough to farm.

Through manual w**d control, roughly 320 tonnes of compost each year, and carefully chosen cover crops, we work to support soil stability, encourage pollinators, and create a vineyard that is not only productive, but alive.

Sweet Elysium, clover, Braco mustard, wildflower mix, and lacy phacelia all have a role to play here.

Because for us, sustainability is not a side note. It is part of the work, part of the wine, and part of our responsibility to the Okanagan.

This week, we’re raising a glass to the land, and to the thoughtful choices that help protect it.

Think fresh fruit, good cheese and bottles that feel right at home outdoors.

For an easy-drinking afternoon, reach for our Rosé, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc.

Stop by the winery to find your perfect park-day pour, or order online and keep a few bottles ready for the season ahead.

As the Okanagan gets ready to welcome another busy summer of visitors, our hospitality community is preparing for the season ahead.

But before the pace picks up, it felt right to gather with fellow industry friends for a glass of wine, a bite to eat, and a few laughs.

The evening also gave us a chance to share what’s new at Little Engine, from our Terrace Patio and small bites menu to our latest vintages.

Cheers to a great season ahead, and to the people who help make Okanagan hospitality what it is.🥂

Happy National Wine Day. To celebrate, we're offering free shipping on all orders over $250 and 6 or more bottles.

Today has big meaning for us. We believe every bottle has a point of view. Ours begins in the vineyard.

Great wine isn’t just made in the cellar. It’s earned season by season, vine by vine, through healthy soil, low yields, cover crops, careful pruning, and the kind of hands-on work that rarely makes it into the tasting note.

Between the rows, cover crops support the soil, invite pollinators, and keep the vineyard ecosystem alive. On the vines, lower yields mean less fruit, more focus, and better wine.

So yes, today is about what’s in the glass. But it’s also about everything that happened before it got there.

Cheers.
