Update as of 19:55 June 10th: crews have been working on Carling since early this afternoon. There are now at least 3 x 288 count fibre optic cables which have been identified as damaged by the fibre seeking backhoe in the photo below. Crews are now pulling 3 x 432 count fibre cables through 4 cable vaults. Splicing was not able to start at 7pm as originally planned. Estimated Time of Repair is now 4am.

Good evening all,

From 2021/04/22 00:00 to 2021/04/22 06:00 our transport provider for the Ottawa Toronto wavelength service is having a maintenance window. This is required to migrate fibre circuits due to LRT West Expansion activities in Ottawa. As a result, internet service in the Ashton and Kanata may be impacted Downtime is anticipated to be approximately 45 minutes.
