This month marked 5 years that Alex has been with Engage as a full timer. He also had a couple summers with us prior to that.

Over that time, Alex has been a key part of the team and has contributed significantly to many of our complex design projects. His consistent work, technical knowledge, and commitment across the board have been a big part of Engage’s success over the past 5 years.

Now officially a P.Eng and one of our Design Engineers, Alex continues to be an integral part of the team taking that next step in his engineering career.

We’re excited to see another successful project nearing completion!

Engage Engineering is proud to have supported the development of a new long-term care facility in Peterborough, alongside Extendicare and Montgomery Sisam Architects Inc.

Our team provided civil engineering design, including on-site and off-site grading and servicing, stormwater management design, as well as contract administration and construction inspection services.

A key focus of the project was incorporating Low Impact Development (LID) features, such as rain gardens, to help manage stormwater sustainably and support long-term site performance.

We're proud to have contributed to a project that will serve residents, families, and the community for years to come.

For nine years, we’ve returned to the same creek!

And each year, it reminds us how small efforts can quietly grow into something meaningful 🌱

What started as a simple cleanup has slowly evolved into a broader initiative that now includes preparing garden spaces and planting native species along the riparian area on the far side of the creek.

Over time, it’s become less about a single day of cleaning and more about caring for a space we all share.

We’re truly grateful for everyone who stepped away from their day to take part and contribute to something that supports the long-term health of our local environment.

This year, our cleanup resulted in 56 kg of waste collected from the creek.

It’s a reminder that consistent, small actions can add up in ways we don’t always see right away.

Engage Engineering had the honour of sponsoring the Barrier Buster Award again - an award that recognizes a woman who has broken barriers, embraced innovation, and shown exceptional perseverance, leadership, and strength in the face of adversity.

As Earth Day comes around again, it’s a moment to look beyond today and think about the legacy we’re leaving behind.

That mindset shows up in different ways for us. From participating in local creek and river clean-ups, to team initiatives that bring us into the community, to contributing to projects where long-term environmental impact is a priority.

We love celebrating growth and new beginnings!

Bik joined us in 2024 as a part-time co-op student, and we’re proud to now welcome him as a full-time Designer.

Seeing that kind of growth within our team is what it’s all about - and Bik is already making a strong impact on some of our larger projects.

We’re also excited to welcome Ketan Tagde to our Water Resources team.

Ketan has hit the ground running and is already contributing meaningful improvements across our projects.
