Bow on strings; sparks will fly. When friction turns to fire, there’s no holding back. 🎻🔥

The flames are rising for Vortex Vol. 3: Inferno, and the lineup just got even more lethal. Five Acre Co is beyond stoked to welcome the explosive violin powerhouse Kytami to the stage this Halloween!

Few artists fuse live instrumentation and gritty bass music with the ferocity and precision Kytami brings to the floor. Known across the globe for melt-your-face-off performances, she seamlessly cuts soulful, soaring violin through the relentless, hard-hitting drive of Drum & Bass.

From tearing up major festival grounds across Canada to rocking dance floors internationally from Bristol to Singapore, her resume speaks for itself. With exclusive guest mixes for BBC Radio 1’s DnB Show and a Western Canadian Music Award for Electronic/Dance Recording under her belt, she pushes the boundaries of live bass music every single time she steps in the room.

Prepare for absolute madness when the bow meets the bass.

Today, September 30, marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

As an organization that brings people together to gather and celebrate with one another, we recognize that true community cannot exist without acknowledging the truth.

Today, we pause to honour the Survivors of residential institutions, their families, and the children who never made it home.

We are deeply grateful to live, work, and create on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Tseshaht and Hupacasath First Nations. We are immensely grateful for the relationships, partnerships, and friendships we share with them. We remain dedicated to listening, learning, and continuously strengthening these bonds in the work we do.
Reconciliation is not a single day on the calendar; it requires sustained accountability in the spaces and platforms we hold. Today, we encourage our community to pause, listen to Indigenous voices, attend local gatherings, and reflect on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.

Resources & Support:
- IRSSS: 1-800-721-0066 (24/7)
- KUU-US Crisis Line Society: 1-800-588-8717 (24/7 BC-wide Indigenous support)

Five Acre Co is unleashing a different kind of magic this Halloween. We are incredibly stoked for to share that Canadian DJ and producer Joanna Magik is headlining Vortex Vol. 3: Inferno!

Named one of 1001Tracklists’ Future of Dance artists, Joanna has built a reputation for massive, crowd-aware sets that bridge the gap between underground club culture and peak-time festival energy. Known for pulling deep from house, UKG, bassline, and rave culture, she has earned the respect of industry heavyweights like Claude VonStroke and AC Slater.

With sets under her belt at Shambhala, Burning Man, and iconic venues like Academy LA, Joanna is bringing that world-class, high-octane energy to the KCC in Port Alberni.

Get ready to enter the inferno. The heat is rising.
