🎓Congratulations John on your recent graduation from VIU with a BBA, major in accounting

John joined R. Anderson & Associates in May 2023 and is now continuing his pursuit to obtain his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

🎙Before pursuing accounting, John spent seven years in radio broadcasting, developing strong skills in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and relationship building with community members, business owners, and elected officials. This background supports his work in public practice, where clear communication and professionalism are essential.

👨‍🍼In 2025, John became a father, and he is dedicated to balancing his growing career and family life. Originally from the mainland, John has called Vancouver Island home since 2016. Outside of work and studies, he enjoys exploring the island’s natural beauty and spending time outdoors.

🌿When Teresa's not pursuing her stained-glass business, enjoying gardening, baking, exploring Vancouver Island or making trips back to Alberta to visit family and friends, you will find her here as one of our Associates.

Originally from Edmonton, Teresa moved to Parksville with her husband and two cats in 2018. Her diverse career includes roles in retail management, training and development, and human resource management. She began bookkeeping in 2019, managing her husband's business accounts and her own small venture, before joining the firm in 2022.

Teresa continues to expand her skills in corporate and personal tax preparation.

Nicola landed in Canada in 2020 with her husband, dog, and cat—fresh from a banking career across the pond. She switched pace (and scenery) for the Alberni Valley life and now flexes her payroll and bookkeeping know-how for the team.
