New from The Pottery Supply House and now in stock at The Clay Warehouse: three cone 6 speckled Satin Matte glazes, and these colours are GOOD.

🍦 Vanilla Bean — a warm, creamy neutral with fine dark speckling
🌿 Mint Chip — a soft, pale mint with subtle speckles throughout
🩵 Robin’s Egg — a dreamy powder blue with warm speckling

These satin mattes have a beautifully soft, velvety finish with just enough variation from the speckles to give them some depth. And as you can see when you swipe, the clay body underneath can really shift the final look.

All three are food safe, made in Canada by PSH, and available now at The Clay Warehouse.

We’ll be placing our next Coyote dry glaze order on Friday, July 17th, so be sure to get your pre-orders in before then and we’ll take care of the rest.

With more than 150 glaze colours available, including the ever-popular Fantasy series, there’s something for every studio setup and firing style. And if you’re looking to stretch your glaze budget, dry glaze is hard to beat.

💰 For example:
A pint of liquid Alabaster Satin sells for $20.51, but a 5 lb dry bag for $63.11 mixes up to approximately 6 pints, bringing the cost down to just $10.52 per pint.

💙 Blue Bucket Tools () has officially landed at The Clay Warehouse!!! 🇨🇦💙

Developed by teachers and ceramic artists Hope Limyansky () and Jeff Campana (), these tools are designed to improve the pottery experience at every skill level. After spending time with their products, it’s easy to see why they’ve developed such a loyal following.

Blue Bucket Tools’ flagship product is the Tile Bat System.

Unlike traditional bat systems that rely on MDF or other materials that can warp, swell, or flex over time, the Blue Bucket system takes a different approach. The “Motherboard” is precision-milled from solid ABS plastic, meaning it won’t absorb water or deform. The inserts are standard ceramic tiles available from most local hardware stores, eliminating the frustration of warped bat inserts.

Each Tile Bat System includes:
✔️ Motherboard
✔️ Shammy
✔️ Pry Tool

Tiles are sold separately at The Clay Warehouse in convenient 5-packs, or can be sourced locally.

We’ve also brought in Blue Bucket’s Glaze Cup Sieves and Glaze Jar Sieves, available in multiple mesh options and colours.

The Cup Sieves were designed specifically for testing glazes, fitting securely into disposable cups and 8 oz & 16 oz deli containers. Built from years of studio experience, they help make glaze testing faster and easier.

For those working with commercial glazes and underglazes, the Jar Sieves fit directly into many popular glaze containers, making it easy to refine, reconstitute, and remove chunks without transferring materials between containers. Each Jar Sieve also includes a clip-on spatula and stacks neatly for storage.

📋All core pottery workshops run for 6 weeks and each class is 2.5 hours long. All tools, equipment, and materials are included. Core workshops are $350 per student.
