Okay- Day 7 of my Alaskan Cruise Adventure- a desperate attempt to burn off all that excess unwanted rolls around the midsection- me hitting the gym with a vengeance! 😆
Now, like I always tell everyone- be kind to yourself.
Truth be told, the cruise was not all about the food and drinks- there was plenty adventure to fill a book! Just couldn't share immediately due to weak signals on board the ship! Will share shortly!

Just now need to take in the Vancouver air and chill abit as we just returned home! Full and filled with Gratitude! ♥️♥️♥️

Reality has kicked in.....after
2 weeks of being away from conscious food consumption! Let's just say the endless tacos, burritos, nachos and occasional margaritas have not been kind to my waistline. This is lame and a desperate attempt, but I'm determined to get back into my favourite pair of jeans hanging in the closet back home! Just did a dash at the hotel gym
( thank heavens they have a good one here).
If anyone has any workout tips or motivational words of wisdom, please send them my way! I'm open to any suggestions to drop those excess pounds that have clung on to my waistline with a vengeance! 🤪

It's a national holiday here! Was fun watching how the Mexicans celebrate the most important women in their lives- their mothers!
Last night, we were lucky enough to catch their military band perform in the City Square in honour of the mothers in the country! How sweet is that! 👌

Visited the ancient wonder of Chichen Itza yesterday under sweltering heat. Despite the 41 degree humid temperature, the visit to this UNESCO world heritage site was amazing. Got to see the impressive towering pyramid of Kukulcan built to honor the feathered serpent god, the Temple of the Warriors and the Great Ball Court. The pyramid apparently is a giant astronomical calendar and each of the 365 steps accounts for each day of the year and is aligned with the sun so that during the spring and fall equinoxes, the shadow of a serpent appears to slither down the staircase. That would've been nice to witness!

Thanks to our guide, we got a quick 101 about the rich history behind the Mayan civilization and this stunning architectural marvel.

This is a must-see if Mexico is in your bucket list! ❤️

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone, all the way from Cancun! Whether you are Mexican or not, time to celebrate with some delicious tacos, guacamole, and margaritas, and let's not forget those Salsa steps! 🌮🍹💃🎉

Just learnt that Cinco de Mayo is an important holiday that commemorates the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. This victory was a significant moment in Mexican history, as it demonstrated the country's ability to defend itself against a powerful foreign invader. It's a reminder of the Mexican peoples bravery and resilience. Love em' folks! Viva la Mexico!

Lost in the beauty of the world from up above! There's nothing quite like the breathtaking aerial view from an airplane. The landscape looks like a painting- so much mystery and yet it is real, the clouds like fluffy pillows, and the sun shining so bright. Moments like these make me appreciate the wonders of this world even more. We indeed live in a beautiful world. We owe it all to Mother Earth and our magnificent Universe!
