Client Spotlight: Lily Mart
When local businesses support local businesses, good things get seen.
In the heart of St. Williams, Lily Mart has become more than a place to stop and shop. Owner James Kim believes strongly in supporting the local business community, and over the years, that support has helped create a unique working relationship between Lily Mart, local businesses, and Randy Howe of Getzum Exposure.
James has been working with Randy for approximately nine years.
What started with an idea for Lily Mart’s exterior wall has grown into something much bigger. The original concept came through a conversation James had with Ray Ferris, who suggested using the exterior wall of Lily Mart to display framed signs for local businesses. Ray connected James with Randy, and the idea began to take shape.
The original goal was to have approximately 10 signs displayed on the wall.
Today, that wall has grown to 20 signs, with 19 of them created by Getzum Exposure for local businesses.
Randy created the frames for the signs and has produced the signage displayed on the wall for 19 participating businesses, giving them a visible place to be seen while becoming part of the Lily Mart storefront.
For James, Randy’s work stands out.
James shared that Randy’s sign designs are eye-catching, that the lettering and font work stand out, and that Randy makes the designs feel exciting while still doing what they are meant to do.
But the working relationship between James and Randy has gone beyond the exterior wall.
Over the years, Randy has also produced the Lily Mart storefront sign, which James designed himself and trusted Randy to bring to life professionally. Randy has also created business cards for Lily Mart, along with apparel sold inside the store, including Long Point hoodies and ice fishing themed hoodies.
James described Randy as kind, honest, easy to work with, and fantastic when it comes to offering insight into design.
And when asked about continuing to work with Randy and Getzum Exposure, James was clear:
“I’ll definitely be a long-term customer of Randy’s and Getzum Exposure.”
For James, this partnership represents more than signs on a wall. It reflects his belief in supporting small businesses, especially during challenging economic times.
One wall.
20 local business signs.
19 created by Getzum Exposure.
Approximately nine years of partnership.
And a whole lot of local visibility.
Thank you to James Kim and Lily Mart for sharing your experience and for continuing to support the small business community in St. Williams.
And thank you for trusting Randy Howe and Getzum Exposure to help put local business names where people can see them.
