Fall repower: 5 years of Mercury coverage, plus up to $400 back on portables. If your engine was already on the repair-or-replace line, this is the fall to make the call.

Here's what Mercury's Chase the Savings gives you until October 30, 2026:

☑ 5 years of total coverage on qualifying FourStroke outboards: the 3-year limited factory warranty plus 2 years of MPP Gold
☑ A $250 to $400 Mercury rebate on portable outboards from 2.5hp to 30hp

Still running well? Keep it serviced. A good repair is often the better spend, and we'll tell you when it is.

📞 Not sure which way to go? Call (604) 936-4602 for a straight answer.

Quick tip: before you call, jot down your engine hours and any repairs that keep coming back. It makes the repair-or-repower call much faster.

A fall repower is worth it when your engine was already on the repair-or-replace line. Mercury's Chase the Savings adds 2 years of MPP Gold coverage for engines sold and delivered by October 30, 2026.

Most owners winterize their Mercury outboard in the wrong order.

Boat comes out in October, engine gets looked at in April. It feels tidier. It just costs more.

Do the service first, then winterize, and book the two as one job.

Used oil picks up acid and moisture over a season. Leave it in the block all winter and it sits on your bearings for six months.

Booking in the fall gets you:

☑ Anodes caught before they are past it
☑ Parts ordered while our Port Moody bench has room
☑ A spring launch ahead of the April rush

Call the yard and ask for both together.

Labour Day weekend, and the only thing on our schedule is the Travel Lift emergency line.

Here is the short version so nothing catches you out.

☑ Closed Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6
☑ Closed Monday, September 7 for Labour Day
☑ Back Tuesday, September 8 at 9:00 AM

If something goes wrong on the water, call (604) 936-4602 and ask for extension 1. That line is for real emergencies rather than booked work, and extra fees apply.

Whatever you have planned, we hope the weather holds. Save this post so the number is in your pocket if you need it.

Boat winterizing usually starts before the last trip of the season.

September is when the little things are still fresh in your mind, which makes it the best time to start a simple fall list.

Think back over the last few trips:

☑ Did the engine start a little harder than usual?
☑ Any warning messages or charging issues?
☑ Did you notice vibration, steering changes or prop damage?
☑ Is your regular service coming due?
☑ Will you need a haul-out before winter?

You do not need to put the boat away today. Just start keeping track of what you want looked at when the season does wind down.

A note on your phone called “boat list” is often all you need.

If you are unsure what should be handled this fall and what can wait until spring, call Inlet Marine at 📞 (604) 936-4602. Tell us what you have noticed, and we can help you sort through it.

Fall haul-out is one of those jobs that quietly gets harder the longer you leave it.

Call now, while the boat's still in the water, and you get two things that matter:

☑ A date that actually fits your schedule, not whatever's left

☑ One lift instead of two trips, with the service work bundled in

Any faults turn up now too, while there's time to sort them calmly. Find the same one in April and you're in the queue with everyone else.

Leave it to October and the weather starts deciding for you. A cancelled crossing means a new booking, and a boat put away wet holds that damp all winter.

📞 Give the yard a call at (604) 936-4602 and we'll find you a date. Takes about two minutes, and you don't need to have everything figured out first.

Here's the full rundown, including what's worth bundling into the same lift and what to have ready before you call: https://x.gd/4FLDo

Booking your fall boat haul-out in August or early September gets you the date you want, lets you fold service into the same lift, and keeps deferred work clear of the April spring-service bottleneck.

BC water is hard on boats. Silver Streak boats are built for exactly that.

Welded aluminum, for a start. Here's why BC buyers keep choosing it:

☑ One welded hull. No rivets, nothing to loosen, nothing to leak
☑ A hard top that keeps you out there all winter
☑ Rigged by us with a Mercury 115hp FourStroke, and we're Canada's largest Mercury dealer

The 18' Carmanah Hard Top in this photo just sold off our Port Moody dock. Every Silver Streak is built to order, so if you want one for next season, let's talk soon.

Had to stop and capture this one. Glass water, mountains waking up, the whole marina still asleep at 6am.

This is why I love the early starts. If you're ever at Reed Point, come say hi.
