Did you know Toronto has new zoning bylaw sign standards?

We recently completed a new zoning notice sign installation at the Toronto Carpet Factory, along with a companion explainer sign that helps neighbours understand exactly what the notice is and how they can get involved in the planning process.

The has updated the way development notices must be designed and displayed. The change is meant to make notices easier to see, easier to understand, and easier to act on for the communities they impact. The first signs are in the ground!

We are thrilled to share the completed Coming Soon sign installations at the Milton locations for , the first three of eleven signs we have been trusted to produce and install for their new communities across the region.

Brampton, Georgetown, Erin, and more will follow in the weeks ahead as we work our way through the full rollout.

Every one of these signs is backed by professional engineered drawings and fully permitted through the proper municipal channels. That level of care matters when you are announcing a new community to a neighbourhood. It ensures the sign is safe, code-compliant, and built to look its best from day one right through to move-in day.

Signage that shows up strong and stays flexible.

A brand-new skid sign for Acorn is officially in place along Leslie Street in East Gwillimbury, serving both 18490 and 18508.

Skid signs are one of our favourite solutions to install because they solve real problems. Fully free-standing, easily moved when needed, and permitted for professional street presence. They work beautifully for development sites, phased projects, seasonal properties, and any situation where a business needs high-impact signage that can adapt as the site does.

We recently installed architectural window film in Liberty Village, a Toronto property where privacy, design, and clean function all had a role to play.

Happy Canada Day from Sensational Signs!

A sign we look forward to hanging every single year is officially up. Our Happy Canada Day sign is proudly displayed at our original location today, just as it has been for so many July firsts before. There is something special about seeing the same red and white go up year after year, in the same town, in the place where so much of our story began.

For over 25 years we have had the joy of helping Canadian businesses tell their stories through signage. This particular sign happens to be one we get to tell our own with.

Way to go, TEAM!

A beautifully crafted set of channel letters is now in place on the storefront of our newest client at 220 Dundas Street West in Whitby.

Channel letters are one of our favourite projects to build and install. Each letter is individually fabricated and dimensionally crafted, creating a clean, professional storefront identity that delivers a premium first impression the moment patients pull up.

Sharing from our ARK page. Signs at their most meaningful hold space for the people and stories a community loves. Kingston's tribute to Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip does exactly that.

Signs have a way of saying what words alone cannot.

Kingston's new "Forever Hip" signage does exactly that. Massive highway tributes, a photo installation at Slush Puppie Place, downtown murals, and guitar-pick decals in shop windows. All pointing to something that mattered deeply to a community. All in honour of Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip. Sensational Signs had no hand in producing this work, but we are deeply moved by it.

That is what signs can do when they are connected to something deeply human. They hold space for a story. They invite people to step in, literally and figuratively. And they remind us that kindness and care, expressed boldly and publicly, can outlast any one moment.

When we see signage like this, we see ARK in action. A city choosing to say: you mattered, and we want everyone to know it.

We do upgrades to RVs, trailers, and mobile homes.

This Winnebago transformation from last summer is still one of our favourites. A stunning multicolour mountain and forest landscape brings the entire vehicle to life on the road.

Before and after, in full bloom

Look at this transformation. We had the absolute joy of refreshing the road signage for our fellow Port Perry friends at . Their original sign had served them well for years, but it was time for something that reflected the vibrant, family-run garden centre they have grown into.

What we built is one tri-signage structure with three working roles:

Road sides: A refreshed logo and clean serif name mirrored on both faces of the main panel, so traffic coming from either direction of Hwy 7A sees the same beautiful identity. A horizontal changeable message panel below makes it easy to swap in seasonal specials and announcements throughout the year.

Parking lot side: A generous flowing script "Thank you for Visiting!" sends every guest off with gratitude, complete with their logo, website, and a QR code to keep the connection growing long after the visit ends.

Side-mounted pivot panel: A simple OPEN and CLOSED indicator that flips in seconds, attached to the structure and visible to traffic from both directions.

A family that started in 2007 selling garden mums from their front driveway, now growing under six greenhouses and serving generations of gardeners across Durham Region. We were so proud to be part of their next chapter.
