Good evening boaters, you probably noticed that your hydro is off. Robbie has already called hydro one, it is their main transformer that feeds the marina, not your breaker. They have assured him that they will be out, so please don’t feel the need to tell Rob, he is well aware of the problem already. Fingers crossed they get it going soon

The Wait Is Over!!

We have had so many people over the last two weeks asking for toliet treatments and we finally were able to get some in stock again! Thank you for being patient as we navigate back ordered products in the busy season.

Review
What can we do with a 16 foot pontoon boat?
Well for one, my shock at the gas pumps was not due to the heavy tag, I was stunned to use so little fuel.
But even upon loading this borrowed cutie, I was taken aback at the space! A week out at a remote cottage, we had to take out all the food, a gas can, anything to drink, luggage for a few folks…the few folks, our 4 hilarious canines (one swimmer, two officially non swimmers and one geriatric fluffball who rarely even sees the outdoors).
Then factor in the tarps that we took along!
Loading and unloading was a dream, far easier than my big boat, the speed, well that’s is not a word we want to use for the little tooner, but the trip out is not unlike visiting on the living room couch, with a way better view and a pleasant breeze, so the day starts at the channel, not upon arrival. Protected by the Bimini, we didn’t have to worry about cooking in the sun before we got the spf on, and once (easily parked), we unloaded our craft and got settled in.
Evening swims at Pottahawk, sunset cruises at golden hour, it was pure bliss.
Of course my big boat is very fast, so that’s took some getting used to, and it will handle wind and waves that the cutie will not, but unless you’re racing a storm, it’s a very enjoyable way to serve up some boat snacks, enjoy a cold drink (that is not a sport because there is very little wind and no bouncing whatsoever), and enjoy a relaxing cruise to all of our favourite places!
The big steps on the reboard ladder are so easy on the feet, and even my lab with her midlife extra weight, with very little help could climb up the curved steps, making it much easier on her midlife mother…me!
Anchoring was a joke, that little thing needed almost nothing to hold it steady, and the storage in the seating enveloped all safety gear with tons left over.
Over all, and admittedly, Ang LOVES boats, ALL of them, I have to say, borrowing this little 16 foot Bentley was an incredible experience that I am so pleased to have had!
As a well seasoned boater, I am not easily impressed, but this one got me!
Perfect for a beginner, loved by the experienced, it’s a confidence boosting, low maintenance fuel efficient boat that screams for channel cruising as well as bay cruising at a price that doesn’t break the bank.
Don’t believe me? Here are the photos we snapped on the little white 16 foot Bentley this summer! Low water? No problem!

Lots of summer left!

Some days we “tell” the young people how we clean up an older boat, and sometimes, when we remember what that boat looked like brand new and has landed in the hands of someone we love and appreciate for years of favours and presence (Martin McMillan), Ang will happily cruise back to her roots and SHOW them!
If there was any question in all these years, if I could go back to just pumping gas and cleaning boats…. I absolutely would! But since I can’t, I will still take an opportunity to work with Luke and Mason on what is arguably the most satisfying work we do here ❤️
