Founded in 2015, the winery/cidery is owned and operated by winemaker Mat Vaughan and family. The winery/cidery specializes in hand crafted very small batch premium wines and ciders. The Hounds’ first release was its national award winning hard cider called Top Dog hard cider in December 2015. One year later, the winery released a second hard cider called Best in Show. If you haven't been to the winery for the last 5 weeks you may not know, but we have a new puppy! Meet Atlas! Atlas is now 15 weeks old and joins us from the other side of the lake at Chickaree Mountain Danes in Pennsylvania. He is a big happy, d***y Dane and we are very happy to have him join the pack. Come visit Atlas and watch him grow with us.

Another new release announcement!!

It's been 7 years since we released a vinifera variety and this one sure is tasty! Using the Riesling grapes of our friends over at inasphere wines , we've made our very first Riesling wine, which we have called Royal Riesling, and showcasing the winner of our recent label competition Fannea, a regal Rough Collie.

$17.69 Per Bottle

Bright, expressive, and unmistakably cool-climate, this Ontario Riesling captures the character of the region in every glass. Aromas of fresh lime, green apple, and white peach are layered with delicate floral notes and a hint of minerality. On the palate, vibrant acidity is balanced by a subtle touch of natural sweetness, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish. Grown in Ontario’s unique terroir and carefully crafted to preserve its purity, this Riesling is a versatile companion to a wide range of dishes or simply enjoyed on its own.
