We're launching a new Blog section on our Community-led Housing Ecosystem Support Network (CLH-ESN) and we're excited to share it! 🥳

Our Community Manager, Liane Kennedy, shares her thoughts around the opportunities and challenges around capacity and staffing in community-led housing projects. Keep reading for an excerpt of: Holding Up the Sky: The Twin Pillars of Staffing a Co-op.

"In co-operative housing projects, there are two pillars holding up the sky – the volunteers and those doing paid work. Both are essential to keep the sky held up and a co-op developing and operating.

Something new is growing in Community-Led Housing.

Across Canada, those involved in making great housing projects happen are doing incredible work... but many are also stretched thin, navigating complex systems, limited resources, and growing demands.

Reclaim Community CDO exists to change that.

We're building a community where Citizen Developers can share knowledge, collaborate on solutions, develop practical tools, and strengthen their capacity together.

Whether you're a a Citizen Developer working on your own housing project, part of an existing housing co-op, cohousing group, or land trust, or nonprofit/mission-driven organization, there's a place for you here.
