Spot it on the Campus Trails: Wild Turkey
Turkeys are omnivores, but will most frequently forage for buds, roots, seeds, and fruit. They are ground nesting and may lay as many as 17 eggs in their annual clutch. They don’t fuss much over nest building, opting to make a depression in the ground without adding any extra bedding. These large birds can be spotted ushering their flocks of poults through the fields on the campus. Though if the grass or crops are high and the babies are still small, you might mistake a family of turkeys for a lone adult. If you have ever spotted a suspicious collection of large blobs in the lower branches of a treeline, you might have seen a group of turkeys tucked in for a good night’s sleep! These large birds can fly short distances — though prefer to walk or run — and seek the safety of trees at dusk.

You don’t need to be a large business to be affected by market changes. If tariffs or market shifts are affecting your costs, supply chain, customer demand or growth plans, CANtrade™ financing could help your business respond and pursue new opportunities.

Eligible local businesses can apply for $5,000 to $150,000, with rates starting at prime, terms up to 60 months, six months of interest-only payments and no prepayment penalties.
